Terms of Service

Version française

Version 1.2 · Effective 3 October 2026

These terms are between you and VisionEd Consultation Inc., operating as Truer Measure ("we", "us"), a company based in New Brunswick, Canada.

These are the commercial terms: what you pay, what you get, when it renews, and how to stop. How you may use the service and what happens to your child's records is in the End-User Licence Agreement, which you accept before you first add anything about your child. What we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy. Both are being finalised and will be published on this site.

A word used below. Your billing period is the time from one monthly payment to the day before the next one — for example, from 14 October to 13 November. It is not a calendar month.

1. What you are buying

A Truer Measure Membership: an ongoing monthly subscription for one child, giving you access to the Hidden Report Card™ platform and dashboard for that child. In it you bring together report cards, school work, observations and moments from beyond school, and the platform generates your child's Hidden Report Card from them, with the help of an AI language model.

One account can hold several memberships — one per child. Adding a second child is a separate purchase.

If you join as a Founding Family

Your membership also includes:

The Feedback button inside the productFor your first three (3) months
The platform and dashboardFor as long as you are a member

We may also invite some Founding Families to private calls about what we build next. These are at our discretion: they are not part of what you pay for, and not every family will be invited.

Being a Founding Family is not individual consulting, and it is not a promise that any suggestion will be built. See section 12.

2. Price, currency and tax

You are charged in the currency of the price you choose at checkout:

Canadian dollarsUS dollarsEuros
Standard price, per child, per monthCA$59.00US$42.00€35.00
BillingMonthly, in advance, at the start of each billing period
TaxCanadian and US dollar prices: tax is added at checkout, calculated from your address. Euro prices include VAT: what you see is what you pay.
ExchangeIf your card is in a different currency from the price you chose, your bank sets the exchange rate and may charge a fee. Neither is within our control.

The price shown at checkout at the moment you subscribe is the price that governs.

Founding Families introductory rate

The first 50 families to subscribe are Founding Families. For a Founding Family, the first three (3) monthly payments are charged at the introductory rate:

Canadian dollarsUS dollarsEuros
Introductory rate, per child, per monthCA$39.00US$27.00€23.00

From the fourth monthly payment, the standard price above applies. The three payments are counted from your own start date, so every Founding Family gets the same three payments at the introductory rate, whenever they join. This step to the standard price is shown at checkout, before you pay.

Founding Family places are limited to 50. Once 50 families have subscribed, the introductory rate is no longer offered to new families. There is no closing date other than that limit.

3. Renewal and price changes — read this one

Your membership renews automatically at the start of each billing period, and your card is charged again unless you cancel first.

4. Access to the platform

After your first payment, we email you a link to set up your account, normally within one business day. The link works for 72 hours. If it has not arrived within one business day, or it has expired, email support@truermeasure.com and we send a new one.

We will tell you if there is a delay. We are not responsible for delay caused by waiting on a reply from you, or by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Your billing starts when you have access. If your access arrives more than one business day after your first payment, we move your next payment date back by the number of days you waited, so you are never billed for time without access.

If we have not given you access within 30 days of your first payment, you may cancel and receive a full refund of everything you have paid — see section 6.

5. Cancelling, and getting your records back

Cancel online at any time through Manage or cancel your membership (the link at the bottom of every page of truermeasure.com). You sign in with the email you paid with, and Stripe, our payment processor, sends you a one-time code. You can also cancel by emailing support@truermeasure.com.

Cancelling stops future payments. Your membership continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep access to the platform until then. We do not refund part of a billing period.

Before your membership ends, you can open and download the documents you uploaded, from the platform. At any time, including after it ends, you can ask us for a copy of your child's record — the documents you uploaded, what you wrote, and your child's reports — by emailing support@truermeasure.com. There is no charge.

Cancelling does not delete your child's record. We keep it for a year after your membership ends, and we tell you before we delete anything. If you want it deleted sooner, ask us — see section 8 of the Licence Agreement.

We may cancel your membership if you materially breach the Licence Agreement, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the service. If we end it for any reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of your billing period.

6. Refunds

We do not offer voluntary refunds. Choosing not to use the platform, or changing your mind, does not create a refund — the billing period you have paid for remains available to you until it ends.

If we fail to deliver:

Your statutory rights are untouched. Nothing here limits any refund, cancellation or cooling-off right that the law where you live gives you — including any right connected with an automatic renewal or a contract made online. Where such a right applies, it applies exactly as the law provides.

Please contact us before starting a chargeback. We would rather fix it.

7. Availability and backups

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control.

Your child's record is stored in Canada. Our database is backed up automatically, and those backups are kept for seven days. The documents you upload are kept in durable storage, but are not yet separately backed up. Keep your own copies of documents you cannot replace. Do not treat us as the only home for something irreplaceable.

8. If a payment fails

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. If a monthly payment fails, Stripe tries it again, up to eight times over two weeks, and you receive an email with a secure link to update your card. If it still has not gone through after those two weeks, your membership is cancelled and no further payment is attempted. Your child's record is kept as section 5 describes, and you are welcome to join again. We also email you a month before your card expires, so you can update it in time.

9. Changes to the service and to these terms

We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces something you rely on, we give reasonable notice, and we will not take away your ability to get a copy of your child's record (section 5) without at least 30 days' notice.

If we materially change these terms, we email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't accept, cancel before the effective date and we refund the unused part of your billing period.

10. Limits on our liability

We are not liable for any decision you make, or don't make, about your child — schooling, assessment, health, therapy, activities, support — whether or not a report informed it. Section 3 of the Licence Agreement explains why: the Hidden Report Card is an interpretation of the records you give us, not an assessment, a diagnosis, or a prediction, and it does not replace a professional's judgement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or lost profits, opportunity or data. Our total liability for everything combined will not exceed the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Your statutory rights come first. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a guarantee, warranty or right that the law where you live does not allow to be excluded — including consumer protection law in New Brunswick and, if you live there, Québec's Consumer Protection Act, and Canadian privacy law. Where a term here conflicts with such a right, the right wins and the rest of these terms stand.

11. Disputes

Talk to us first. Email support@truermeasure.com and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. This is an invitation, not a condition: it does not stop you from contacting a consumer protection office or privacy regulator, or from seeking an urgent remedy, at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick, Canada, and the New Brunswick courts have jurisdiction, except where the law where you live gives you the right to go to your own courts or to rely on its protections — nothing here takes that away. You can bring a claim in small claims court where you live.

We do not ask you to give up your right to join a class or representative proceeding.

12. Your feedback

We want to hear what would make Truer Measure more useful, through the Feedback button, by email, or on a call. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Truer Measure without owing you anything for them. We decide what gets built; sending a suggestion does not mean it will be.

Feedback is about the product. Your child's record is not feedback, and nothing in this section changes what the Licence Agreement and the Privacy Policy say about it.

13. How we contact you

We contact you by email at the address on your account, including for receipts, reminders and the notices these terms promise. Please keep it up to date. A notice counts as given when we send it to that address.

14. Odds and ends

Language. These terms are available in French and in English. If you live in Québec, the French version governs.

Assignment. You can't transfer your membership. We may transfer these terms in a merger or sale, on notice to you, and only if the buyer takes on our commitments about your child's records in full. If you'd rather not continue, cancel and we refund the unused part of your billing period.

Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Entire agreement. These terms, the Licence Agreement and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.

15. If you live in the European Union: your right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from your membership within 14 days of joining, without giving a reason. Use Withdraw from contract here (the link at the bottom of every page of truermeasure.com), or email support@truermeasure.com with your name, the email you paid with, and that you are withdrawing. We confirm your withdrawal by email without delay.

If you asked us to give you access during those 14 days, you pay only for the days you had access, and we refund the rest of your first payment within 14 days of your withdrawal, to the card you paid with. If you did not have access yet, we refund all of it.
